The top five beauty tips that will save you on your wedding day!
1. Use a tubular mascara, not waterproof!
Waterproof mascara may stay put through tears and rain but it can smudge if you have any access oils around your eyes. Tubular mascara forms small tubes around your lashes and won’t budge, flake or smudge.
2. Trial you hair and makeup no further than a month out from your wedding date.
This way your skin will be in similar condition as it will be on your wedding day and your hair will be the same length and colour. Your style and details may change slightly throughout your planning so this will also be close enough to your date to finalize the exact look you want to go for.
3. Plan for the weather.
If you are getting married through the summer season make sure to wear waterproof or sweat resistant foundation and use a sweat proof finishing spray.
If it is likely to be humid or raining you may want to opt to have your hair up as humidity will cause any curls in your hair to drop out a lot quicker than usual. Get a treatment done or do a DIY hair mask to give your hair as much moisture as possible to reduce frizz on the day.
4. Tan together or not at all.
If you want to get a spray tan make sure your bridesmaids get one too so no one sticks out like a sore thumb in the photos! Trial your tan a month out to make sure it is the correct shade for your day.
5. Pluck or thread your brows, don’t wax!
Waxing removes the lop layer of your skin and can make it difficult for makeup to stick. It can also cause redness and for some skin small pimples. Threading and plucking removes only the hair so it’s a much safer option. Make sure any hair removal is done at least two days out from your wedding day to give any skin irritations enough time to heal.
