What makeup products do you use?
I use mainly MAC in my kit but have a few products that I prefer from other brands such as Smashbox Cosmetics, Blinc and Bobbi Brown.
Can you cater for larger weddings/group bookings?
Yes, I have a team of artists that assist me on larger bookings so no group is too big or small.
How long will the makeup application and hair styling take?
For the bride it takes 2 hours (or 1 hour for makeup or hair only) and for bridesmaids, guests, special occasions and school balls it takes 1.5 hours for hair and makeup (or 45 mins for makeup or hair only). I like to allow an extra 30 minutes for larger bookings to include 10 minutes for set up and 20 minutes for hair and makeup touch-ups at the end. Makeup lessons range from 1 – 2.5 hours depending on the chosen lesson.
Do you provide lashes?
Most definitely! I usually use individual cluster lashes as they are long lasting, comfortable and can be applied as natural or dramatic as you like.
How far out of Tauranga can you travel and what is the charge?
I can travel anywhere within New Zealand. Travel is free of charge within Tauranga central. For bookings 20km or more outside of Tauranga there is a fee of 83 cents per km, which is the recommended IRD rate. A call out fee may incur for single service bokings. Please send us a message with your booking requirements so we can send you a quote.
Do you have a makeup studio I can come to?
Yes, our studio is based in The Beauty HQ, 276 Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui. Since we are often away for mobile work, bookings are essential.
What do I need to do to prepare for my booking?
Please wash your hair the evening before so it is clean and dry on the day and have nothing but moisturiser on your face. If you have a certain look in mind please have images of the styles you would like so we can use these as a reference on the day.
How long will my makeup last?
I use high quality, long lasting and water proof products to ensure your makeup will last all day and well into the night. The only thing you may need to reapply after eating and drinking is your lipstick, so you will be provided with a small touch up kit which includes your chosen lippy colour.
Do I need to have a bridal preview?
It is totally up to you, but I do highly recommend to get a bridal preview done. This is the perfect time to plan your look with your artist before the big day and the only way you will know you are completely happy with the look.
How far out from the wedding should I book in my bridal preview?
I recommend booking your bridal preview in 3-4 weeks out from your wedding date as this way your hair length, colour and skin condition will be simular for a truer preview.
